Sandstorm manages to offer an almost 'hardcore / more realistic' Call of Duty experience that showers you in tons of available weapons and customization so it's no surprise why so many enjoy it.

Moving around fluidly traversing tight corridors in CQB maps in the chaos of the original 2014 Insurgency is a pretty unique experience which is why that game, despite being the oldest of the three full release FPS NWI titles, still retains a somewhat active playerbase to this day.
That isn't to say it's buggy or doesn't work properly, but more-so just that everything feels a little janky and basic. Compared to the 2014 Insurgency and the newer Insurgency Sandstorm, this game just lacks a level of polish.
stiff? about this game that's hard to accurately describe in words. That's not to say it's bad, it isn't, but there's just something a little.
Second off, I can sort of see why this game never reached popularity and rapidly lost what little initial playerbase it did manage to gain. So if you're expecting anything more than being able to catch a half full server at peak hours for PvP and maybe one or two full PvE ones and the rest of the day everything is dead (5 people dead) don't even consider this game. Luckily you can fight in the PvP style game modes with bots filling the slots human players don't, but this isn't the same experience at all. The playerbase rarely rises to a point to fill even a single PvP server and most of what dwindled community is left seems to prefer the PvE modes. this comes with a couple of caveats.įirst off, this game is very much deceased.
